Redheads in Britain often get a bad deal. Mocked at school, made the butt of many a bad joke, and given nicknames that will stay with them for life.
Yet for many men and women, fiery red hair holds an allure that bland blonde and boring brunettes just can't match.Â
Previously, those nutty for gingers had to hunt down hot redheads, leaving a meeting purely to chance.

Now though, with the launch of Top Carrots, that is all set to change.
The gingers dating site caters for redheads looking for redheads, or for those with another colour hair who are keen to date those with ginger locks.

MIke Gambling, 21, from London, has joined Top Carrots in the hopes that he will find a redhead to date.
'I have always had a thing for gingers and this site will hopefully give me the pick of the bunch, they are hard to find,' he said today.
Set up by IT Manager Sam Heakin the site launched less than two weeks ago - and already has over 200,000 members, with 100 new sign ups in the past week alone.
The website promises to unite redheads all over the UK, with other redheads or just those with a fetish - the 'gingers and the ginger lovers alike,' as the site says.
Redhaired Alex Duckett from Manchester said he's delighted the women of Britain have finally cottoned on to the appeal of the carrot top. Â
Alex, known among friends as 'the ginger charmer' said: 'It's great that there is a dating site dedicated to redhaired people.
'Gingers have charm - ginger charm. There is a lot more demand for gingers since Prince Harry became a sex icon to so many women.'
Top Carrots founder Sam comments "I have noticed a trend in people seeking redheads in dating columns and as a redheaded Essex boy myself I know how hard it is.
'I wanted to make it my mission to help lonely gingers and ginger seekers to find their match.
'We hope that Prince Harry, Ed Sheeran, Geri Halliwell and Nicole Roberts will all be signing up to Top Carrots now.'

Pete - Sheffield. You're a disgrace and a bully. No wonder we see people in today's society going to extremes due to being vicitmised, by people like you. My best friend has red hair, she is an absolute stunner and wouldn't look twice at bullies like you. I hope you have children, grand children, nephews and nieces with red haor in the future. Oh Wait, maybe not, as you would bully them and that would be horrific.

Looking back... the most "interesting" relationships I've had have all been with redheads. And I married a Brunette. Oops. ;-)

Nothing wrong with a red-headed man. So long as he isn't short - now shortness in a man (or' manlets' as they are known) is the REALLY big turn-off for women.
