After landing her job on Loose Women Denise Welch definitely took her role seriously.

Pictured stumbling out of clubs and forever regaling viewers with tales on gulping down champagne at various star-studded events, Denise was a well known party girl.

But the actress has revealed she has ditched the bottle and gone dry - with the help of her toyboy lover Lincoln Towney.

And she credits party planner Lincoln with not only keeping her dry but also helping her through a difficult time after her mother May, 75, died in May.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror she said: 'I'm very, very happy in my personal life. I want to move forward in a positive way and not drinking is helping that.'

'It's been quite a tough year and and I just felt that I would deal with it better without alcohol. We are putting our relationship before the bottle.'

Denise left her husband actor Tim Healy, another famous drinker, for her toyboy lover after beginning an affair with the 39-year-old in April.

The company, Welch Morgan Locations, is proving stressful for Denise who said she usually relies on a glass of fizz to calm her nerves.

But the 53-year-old added she was still the life and soul of the party - with or without booze.

Tragic human being, go away!

He reminds me of Katie Katonas ex dead beat husband ,

"Speaking to the Sunday Mirror" Well there you go another cheque in the post for another boring made up story. Next week how i fell of the trolly and went back to drink.

Cannot stand the old lush..Tom was far too good for her

He not in it for the money

The man is nearly 40, can we drop the "toy boy" label....absurd.

Hmmmm......A few years back she claimed to have quit drinking for her son, after seeing his face fall when he saw her pouring herself a drink - I remember reading the story and feeling saddened by it. If she didn't keep it up then, I doubt she will now - maybe she needs professional help.
