She's been a country music megastar since she won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005.
But despite her five-time Grammy wins, her multi-platinum selling albums and being one of America's sweethearts, Carrie Underwood has not really made a huge impression across the Atlantic.
All that could change this year for the Oklahoma lass who is set to play her first concert in the UK this summer.
Country crosses the miles: Carrie Underwood is set to play her first ever UK gig in London this June
Carrie, 29, is set to play the Royal Albert Hall on June 21 and she said she wants to get London line-dancing.
She said: 'It will be my first time with a UK audience. There needs to be a few country artists out here, to let people know what theyâre missing.
'I really hope to be one of those voices and show everyone this great genre of music. There is so much talent in country music and Iâd love to be an ambassador for it.
'I like to think that I play everyoneâs country music. Itâs a great show and itâs high energy. I think that people can come out and dance.'
America's sweetheart; the American Idol winner is a huge success in the US but has yet to make her mark on British audiences
Carrie said she was very excited about coming to Britain for the first time as she has been influenced by many UK artists.
She added: 'I'm a huge fan of George Michael, Annie Lennox, The Rolling Stones, and of course, Adele. I want to do that tradition proud.Â
'There are so many great British artists doing well in the US at the moment; I want to show the UK another side of America.'
Carrie has enjoyed a very successful career since winning American Idol and has gone on to sell 14 million albums.
British influences: Carrie cites Adele, the Rolling Stones and George Michael among those who have inspired her
Her debut album Some Hearts went seven times platinum and 14 number one singles later, she is getting ready to release her fourth album, Blown Away, as her first official UK release.
She said: 'I had such an amazing time making this album. We worked really hard and the end result is a wonderful collection of diverse material.Â
'The album sounds bigger and more epic, expanding even more than my previous albums. Iâm influenced by so many types of music, and I think you can hear that in the songs. Even the album artwork is amplified - I wanted a stronger and more fierce feel than what weâve done in the past to take things to a new level.'
