Kelly Rowland today confirmed she will not return to the X Factor, as the Mail revealed.
The Destinyâs Child star, 31, has left the ITV talent hit âon her own termsâ, a source close to the singer said.
The Mail last week told how viewers had not considered Kelly a fan favourite when she took Cheryl Coleâs seat on the show last year.
Bye bye Kelly! Ms Rowland today confirmed that she will not be returning to the panel of The X Factor
But a friend said: âKelly is the only judge who has international commitments and it just wasnât possible for her to make it work.â
Kelly today put up a bizarre tweet that read: âOnly God can judge meâ, before making an official announcement about her departure from the series.
Confirming the news, Kelly said: 'I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget. I would like to thank Simon for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season.'
A spokesperson for the star blamed 'global commitments coupled with the show's increasing demands' for Kelly's departure.
Who'll be back? So far, Gary Barlow is the only judge to have confirmed a return to the show this year, although Tulisa Contostavlos said her return looked 'likely'
Not coming back: Kelly reached the final of the show last year with finalist Amelia Lily
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for The X Factor said: 'Kellyâs immense experience in the music industry shone through in both her Judging and mentoring on The X Factor and we would like to thank her for being a part of the countryâs number one show and wish her well for the future.
'The judging panel will be announced in due course.'
Simon Cowell has been desperate to get pop princes Katy Perry on board â" and she is expected to appear as a guest judge.
Meanwhile, it was also revealed that Dannii Minogue could make an explosive comeback on the judging panel â" just weeks after it was revealed how she had had a secret affair with music mogul Cowell shortly after she first joined the X Factor.
I'm off! Kelly was seen last week leaving Sydney airport in Australia heading back to Los Angeles
Former X Factor judge Tulisa said she would love to work with Dannii, telling ITV breakfast show Daybreak: âI used to watch X Factor before I got on the panel, so I always thought Dannii was great and I enjoyed watching her, so I'm sure we'd get along really well.â
So far, Gary Barlow is the only judge to sign a deal, worth £2 million, but Tulisa and Louis Walsh are said to be days away from signing ahead of auditions in Cardiff on May 15.
Asked if she would be returning this year, Tulisa said: 'It looks likely. I know nothing.'

Would make my day to hear that Tulisa Contostavlos was not returning either! Anyhow, whatever, this show is rapidly going the pan.

Best year was 2010. You had amazing judges - Simon, Cheryl, Dannii and Louis. It was the year that had the most stars made (Cher Lloyd, One Direction, Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson), good twists, good group songs and interesting acts. PLUS, five of the hottest guys on earth were made into a group- hey one direction! :P

Only worthwhile judge last year in my opinion. Gary, Louis and Tulisa are so wooden and scripted. At least Kelly was good to watch and provided real constructive criticism.

Your better off Kelly, the show sucks!!
