It's getting hot out there - but it isn't going to last.
Britain's mini-heatwave will cool down this week as unsettled weather draws in, forecasters have predicted.
However, while the mercury won't reach the heights it has today, we are set for a 'pleasant' Jubilee weekend.

There was hot and sunny weather across most of the UK today. Here, youngsters jump off a jetty to cool off in Aberystwyth, west Wales

According to the Met Office, temperatures will fall to the low 20s tomorrow before falling back into the teens during the middle of the week.
Forecaster Steven Keates said: 'Over the next few days the weather will become more unsettled and it will turn a bit cooler.
'But it looks like it will settle down again towards the end of the week.'
Mr Keates added that going into the Jubilee weekend temperatures would be 'not too exciting' but 'pleasant enough'.
He said there's a small chance of showers on the eastern side but most areas would remain dry. Today, temperatures hit 28C west of London as thousands of Brits headed to the coast to soak up the sun.
In Bournemouth, Dorset, roads were packed during the morning and seafront car parks filled before breakfast.

Even the shores on the River Thames were filled with people, most of whom were amateur archaeologists taking advantage of the good weather to search for artifacts

There were deckchairs out in the shadow of Tower Bridge on the Thames and young and old searched for hidden treasures
Thousands of deckchairs and sunloungers were snapped up and beach huts along the seven miles of sand were in use. An estimated 70,000 people flocked to the beach and thousands more were at Sandbanks along the coast in Poole.
There were keen day-trippers on the beaches by 7am, desperate not to miss a moment of the sun. Ice cream salesmen were doing a roaring trade, seafront traders were delighted and many hotels were fully booked.
Neighbouring resorts in Highcliffe and Swanage were also busy while the Purbeck Hills and New Forest attracted thousands of walkers.

Bournemouth's promenade, gardens and pier were packed and the local economy has been given a timely shot in the arm. The sea temperature was 12C and many people were cooling off in it.
By lunchtime, temperatures were into the 80s and the whole country was experiencing sunny, cloudless skies. Danny Smith and his wife Sue, both 40, were on Bournemouth beach with their daughters Tanya, eight, and Natalie, six.
Mr Smith, a surveyor from Southampton, Hampshire, said: 'We came down on the train this morning. It's the best way to get here from Southampton because when the sun is out the roads get really busy.
'The beach is fabulous and the water is really clear. The kids absolutely love it and it's a great way to spend a day. Living in this country means you can never guarantee the weather so when it is hot you've got to make the most of it.'

Two teenagers were enjoying the sweltering temperatures and blazing sun at in Burnham on Sea by going out on their dinghy buy were blown out about half a mile into the Bristol Channel

The pair managed to attract the attention of local coastguards and were rescued around 11am
Ice cream salesman Mike Harding said: 'These are the days we dream of. They've been queuing all morning and I expect to be busy all day.
'I will almost certainly run out of some varieties and will be re-stocking through the day.'
In Somerset, the weekend almost turned sour for two teenagers who got into trouble on the Bristol Channel.
The pair were enjoying the sweltering temperatures and blazing sun at in Burnham on Sea by going out on their dinghy buy were blown out about half a mile into the water.
Fortunately the pair managed to attract the attention of local coast guards and were rescued around 11am. One of the boys was treated for shock back on the beach by an ambulance crew but the pair sustained no other injurues.

What is a Jubilee weekend?

I actually prefer the weather to be slightly cooler, for me a temperature of around 61-65 Fahrenheit is just right, with a fresh breeze, as it's still warm enough not to need the central heating on. Where we live it's been 80-85 Fahrenheit, which has been a bit on the warm side to say the least. Of course there are a lot of people who are enjoying this current spell of hot weather, and good for them. Not everyone will agree with me, but to each his own. I feel sorry for animals such as dogs with thick coats because for them the heat can feel very oppressive and uncomfortable.

whatever weather it is the DM always has a story about how its about to change. whats the point, the weather changes, stop printing shock horror stories becuase you have nothing better to report on

AND the days after that sometime might be a little bit colder as usual, then it could be a slightly hotter day, ITS called the weather, get over it either that or the DM is having an extremely poor day with regards to reporting or they might have ran out of money and are asking for handouts.
