She gave birth to her first child nearly a month ago but has resolutely refused to share any pictures of her little girl with her fans.
But now Jessica Simpson has posed up with her daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on the cover of People magazine.
Holding Maxwell tenderly, Jessica is seen beaming with pride as she tells the publication that the little girl, her first child with fiancé Eric Johnson, has completely changed her life.
Meet Maxwell! Jessica Simpson has posed for People magazine to introduce her baby daughter to the world
She said: 'My life has completely changed. From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!'
Jessica added: 'We stare at her all the time. We can't get enough!'
In the cover shot, Maxwell, who weighed 9lb 13oz when she was born on May 1, looks adorable in a white dress and matching headband.
Happy family: Maxwell is the first child for Jessica and her fiancé Eric Johnson
Jessica, 31, is also seen wearing a white nightdress style outfit as she cradles her child.
The former singer, who delivered her child via Caesarean section, also told People that nursing her little girl has 'become a full-on job'.
She said: 'It's the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her. I miss holding her and having that closeness.'
Moving on: Jessica is said to be keen to get back to her pre-baby weight quickly but healthily
It was recently reported that the highly-anticipated first pictures of Maxwell were sold for $800,000.
However, the amount is significantly less that some other stars received for baby pictures - Jennifer Lopez is understood to have received $6million from People for snaps of her twins Max and Emme.
The same publication reportedly gave Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt around $11million for the exclusive on their twins Vivienne and Knox,

maxwell.. a very masculine name... i know its fashionable to give girls names more used with boys previously, but Maxwell is a very manly name. i would have thought she would have gone for something more feminine.

Please remember Ashley and Sydney started as boys names. I gave my daughter an (at the time) androgynous (sp) name with a very girly middle name. My thought was I loved both but when she was older she could choose. She feels her first name fits and her middle name is to common. My personal peeve is when people give ridiculous spellings to fairly ordinary names, Aleyxaundra, Danyelle,Shyanne. AUGH! Her baby is beautiful and I just want to eat those cheeks.

I'm sorry DM, I think you must have made a typo. Maxwell is a boy's name.

Baby Bliss$$$$$$$$$ indeed. I know they aren't the only ones who flog , sorry 'introduce', their baby to the public via mags for money - but it just seems so wrong to cash in on a very precious gift.

Am I the only one who can't tell the difference between majority of new born babies? New mothers should remember how they felt having babies, scans and bibs shoved in their face. Totally hate the medias obession with "celebs" off-spring.... and "don't like it, don't read" comments.... I never read, I didn't even look at the pictures :o
