X Factor 2012: Geri Halliwell seeks solace with her dogs after being booed

After a rather dreadful time as an X Factor guest judge, last week, Geri Halliwell was back in action today.

Instead of staying hidden away following the public booing her, the former Spice Girl took her two dogs out for a walk in north London.

The 39-year-old, who was once known as Ginger Spice, looked more like her ex band mate Mel C, by wearing some very sporty gear.

The one time pop star looked laid back in a tight red vest with a blue trim, and a pair of short shorts.

She teamed the outfit with a pair of trainers and wore a rectangular pair of sunglasses with her hair down.

The mother-of-one was leading the way as she power walked around her neighbourhood and her canine friends followed behind her.

It had been a challenging week for Geri after she was booed by the X Factor audience at the Liverpool auditions.

Then to make matters worse her fellow judges publicly came out and said that didn't want her to return to the show and gave their backing to mouthy Sharon Osbourne.

Geri didn't help matters by insulting the acts to try and get a nasty but nice following, and she also took a swipe at X Factor judge Gary Barlow.

She was booed when she told one group of girl band hopefuls they couldn't sing, before adding: '[But] not everyone in Take That can sing'.

She also told her baying haters that she didn't care if she was booed, simply stating: 'Whatever.'

Speaking at the London auditions last weekend, Tulisa, 23, said she would 'love Sharon back' telling The Sunday Mirror she was the ultimate female boss.

The odd one out: Geri made a bad impression with judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh

Louis Walsh, 59, added his support saying: 'I’d love Sharon to come back, too. I’ve always had so much fun with her.'

Gary echoed the sentiment and added: 'Sharon isn’t a stupid suggestion. She’d be amazing. Like Tulisa said, she’s the ultimate female boss.'

When people start to look like their pets... Just sayin.

i think some of these comments are horrid, and that about sums up the general population today,....ill mannered , selfish hard and rude.

Looks like the chucky hair style is back in vogue?

Does anyone have any good ideas for a permanent judges for the X Factor Must be British Must be beautiful Must be very well liked by the British public Ta

Her Pomeranian dogs are beautiful, but they too could do with a good brush and trim!

Geri has a terrible singing voice, and her acting was laughable in that SATC episode. Lord knows why she is judging X Factor, she's not even current. At least Sharon adds drama and fun and managed bands for years. I think she should come back or at least someone else with something about them. There isn't much point for Geri to continue if she carries on getting a bad reception from fans of the show who are potential voters. - Mira, London, 28/05/2012 16:20 Hang on have read your own post Sharon can't sing or act. Geri whilst quite annoying as a person was a member of one of the biggest girl bands of all time. Also went on to have a very successful solo career. She has sold more records than any other judge on the show. Not a fan of Geri but unfortunately it's true.

Looking her age these days.

Are they going to keep having guest judges? Because that will be rubbish. Surely there is some talented person out there in celeb land that they could give the position to.What are they going to do when it comes to the mentoring bit? Seems a bit odd to me and a bit slack.

She looks happy. All the best
