He's been married to his actress wife for seven years who recently gave birth to their third child.
And this weekend, ahead of Mother's Day, actor Ben Affleck paid tribute to Jennifer Garner and praised her for being a 'world-class mum'.
He took to his Facebook page yesterday to post a video of him speaking to camera and thanking all the mothers in his life.

She's incredible: Ben Affleck praised his actress partner in a special Mother's Day video
He thanked his own mum and then gushed about his actress wife in the video to celebrate Mother's Day, which is observed in the US tomorrow.
He said: 'I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the mums in my life.
'My mum, Chris, and my amazing wife, Jennifer, who is an incredible, spectacular, world-class mum, and I want to thank her.'
He also acknowledged African women in the video, having founded the Eastern Congo Initiative in 2010 after visiting the war-torn region several times.

Family day: Ben and Jennifer collected daughter Violet from her karate class in Los Angeles yesterday
Making memories: Ben left the karate armed with his camera
He added: 'I want to say thank you to all the mums I've met in the Democratic Republic of Congo who are on this video.
'I urge you to share it... to celebrate all the mums in the world working at the very hardest job there is every single day.'
Ben, 39, posted his video the day before he was snapped out with Jennifer, 40, as they picked up daughter Violet, six, from a karate class.
Yummy mummy: Jennifer looked happy and proud after her daughter's class
The couple - who also have three-year-old daughter Seraphina and two-month-old son Samuel - were joined by Jennifer's mother Patricia, who is staying with her daughter for the Mother's Day weekend.
And Jennifer has been equally as gushing about her husband, who she praised during an awards ceremony in Las Vegas last month.
Accepting the CinemaCon's Female Star of the Year Award, she thanked Ben for 'for taking over drop-offs and pick-ups and bedtime'.

Girls' day out: Jennifer's mother Patricia is visiting the family for the Mother's Day weekend
She then added: 'And thanks for making me feel like maybe someday I will get to relax in a hair and makeup chair again and leave the maniacs at home with you!'
She also joked that she hasn't been too busy acting in recent months, something her mother pointed out to her.
She said: ''I told my mum the other day I was getting this award, and I was excited and feeling proud and thought she was going to be proud, and then there was this pause on the other end of the line.
'She said, "Jennifer, do these people know you haven't worked in the last year?" I said, "Yeah, I feel they probably know what I've been up to. I haven't stepped foot on a set. You are correct, mum!" '

@Seriously??, A Galaxy Far Far Away.....Like Ben, I was born and raised in Boston. WE DO USE THE WORD MUM!!! It's mostly New Englanders that use the word but, my son who was born in Florida, he's 12, he calls me mum. That's what he's heard from my family his whole life.

What's with some of you being nasty ? He's not saying all the other mums are rubbish or don't deserve praise at all. Why should he praise you ? That's what your kids and partners are for, oh and I'm a mum too and couldn't give two hoots he's not praising me. He is praising his own wife and mum. She's a lucky woman and he is obviously a lucky man , good for them.

Get to relax?? You're joking. Lovely family but get real. You can hire childcare and people to do drop offs any day you like. Try doing it all. Bet you're not cooking and shopping on top of it all, yeah exactly, I'd be a world class mum too if I didn't have to fit all that in. Good luck though, lovely kids! - Louise, Kenilworth, 12/5/2012 13:12 they can hire them it's true, but it seems as though they don't doesn't it, so as they are doing it, they get as tired as any other parent I would imagine.

a world-class mum, what's that when it's a home? and the rest of us are what? - saoifre, edinburgh, 12/5/2012 13:46 surely that is up to your own husband to say? I don't see why he should say it about everyone else's wife - only his own, and how lovely to hear a man say it
