Of course in any talent show, it is the acts which should command the audience's attention.
However it's no secret that the judges' attire is always in line for scrutiny.
And Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden didn't quite hold their own in the style stakes tonight on the first semi final of Britain's Got Talent tonight.

One positive point was that the pair at least achieved very distinct, individual looks- though possibly their desire to do so was what led to their slight errors of judgement.
Amanda wore a flesh-coloured number by J'Aton couture, embellished with a vintage-style black pattern.
The high neck and long sleeves looked as though they were intended to counter the transparent nude material, but the almost entirely see-through skirt was hardly a modest choice.
Kept it simple: The dressing-room must have been a little less stressful for Simon Cowell and David Walliams, who opted for their usual black and grey suits
Positive note: Alesha's smokey make-up, hair and heels were all stunning
Alesha's colourful dress features a short skirt with a long train, with an eye-catching mish-mash of patterns.
Her towering red heels were a positive touch- accentuating Alesha's incredibly long legs.
Both judges wisely opted to keep their hair loose, which at least didn't add to the already 'busy' effect of their ensembles.
Odd choice: Amanda's high neckline looked designed to temper the effect of the see-through nude material, but it made for a rather odd effect
Alesha's smokey eye make-up was a pretty touch to her overall look, as were the soft waves in her loose hair.
Amanda's eyeliner was perhaps a little harsh, but tempered by pink lipstick.

I actually think they both look really cool in their unique dresses. They both suit their dresses equally.

Their outfits are both awful. Could have found something better (and probably cheaper) on ASOS. Just a tip girls.
