It one of the perils of being in the public eye - that your relationship is under the spotlight.
And Kym Marsh has revealed in a new interview that she and fiancé Jamie Lomas went through some 'hard times' following rumours of his infidelity earlier this year.
Coronation Street actress Kym also told OK! Magazine that she never believed the reports, and if her Hollyoaks beau had cheated on her, she wouldn't stand for it.

She said: 'Make no mistake - I'm no mug. The reason I'm standing by my man is because he hasn't done anything wrong. If he'd done it, it would be a different kettle of fish! But he wouldn't.'
However, mother-of-three Kym, who wowed in a figure-hugging dress at last night's Manchester United Player of the Year awards, did admit that she and Jamie, who temporarily moved to Los Angeles to pursue his Hollywood acting dream, have struggled with their relationship in recent months.
She said: 'Obviously we've had hard times, but what couple doesn't? Jamie was away for three months and I'm not going to say it wasn't difficult for us because it was.
'But I don't think either of us has ever hidden that fact. Couples always go through hard times.'

Meanwhile, Jamie also opened up about the pictures that prompted the cheating rumours, which appeared to show him in a hotel room with a young woman.
Talking about the shots, Jamie said: 'We'd gone to a club to celebrate a friend's birthday and I was outside with a friend who was staying with me at my hotel waiting for a taxi. He got talking to these girls and he invited them back. I was a bit drunk so I said okay.
'I ended up falling asleep,a s you can see from the pictures. I passed out and that's when this girl seized her opportunity to try and make some money and not even give a second though of what it would do to my family.
'We've got a little baby. Why would i want a greasy doner kebab when I have steak at home?'

The couple are now attempting to move on from the cheating reports, and are planning to wed this summer.
Talking about their plans for the nuptials, Kym said: 'It was always on the agenda. We're going to have a small ceremony but then we're going to have a big mad party in the evening with all our friends, although knowing the Corrie cast we'll probably be in bed and they'll still be going!'
Last night, Kym and Jamie looked happy and very much in love as they posed up together on the red carpet at the Manchester United Player of the Year Awards.
Kym, 35, highlighted her enviable physique in the black sleeveless dress that appeared to feature a gold stripe.

She teamed the daring number with a pair of sparkly peep-toe heels and her large engagement ring, wearing her dark hair up and completing her look with her trademark quiff.
Jamie matched his fiancée in the style department, looking dapper in an all black suit.
The pair were joined by Kym's Coronation Street co-star Shobna Gulati, who also showed off a very slender frame in a knee-length black dress which she wore with tights and towering heels.
The soap star also carried a black clutch and was more than happy to have her photograph taken before making her way inside.
It seems that black was the trending colour of the night as Countdown presenter Rachel Riley also turned up in the dark colour.

The blonde TV star wore a simple maxi dress and jacket with gold strapped heels and bright red lipstick as she joked around on the carpet.
But it wasn't just the ladies who dressed similar last night as the men arrived wearing near-matching suits too.
Coronation Street stars Michael Le Vell and Andrew Whyment smiled for the cameras in the dark suits, but they had various footballers to contend with in the style stakes.
Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck looked particular suave in black suits and white shirts while Ryan Giggs arrived in something very similar but looked particularly uncomfortable in the limelight.
Wayne Rooney arrived in a black suit also, and turned up without wife Coleen on his arm.

She may think she is no mug. BUT no husband should a) be going to the US for 3 months (when you've clearly got enough money and you have a new baby) and b) Shouldn't be in a hotel room with other women in the first place when he's married or as good as married. Something not right about that. He sounds very selfish and she is just covering it all over with rose petals.

Oooooh don't get me started on Corrie! What on earth have they done to Sunita's character??? She's (pardon the expression) like a dog in heat or like some tacky seductress. They have changed her completely from being quite a shy, demure woman with lots of class to this? Minnie the Minx ////// Minnie, you are so right. It's cringeworthy! She's turned into a ridiculous caricature and the storyline is so unbelievable. The scene last night when he wolf whistled her was awful, I've started fast forwarding their scenes now.

She's a mess. She's obviously trying to catch up on her twenties, when she was a young single mum, but it's too late. That ship has sailed and she's starting to look like mutton!

Sorry but though she is really attractive woman she is too old for this dress, it makes her look cheap (and I'm older than her). She would look fantastic if she dressed in a more classy way (not frumpy, classy) as she has a fantastic figure but she seems very desperate to compete with the young girls these days. Not a good look at all.

Although a little Stumpy Legged, Kym Marsh is a pretty gal. She ought to ditch the Lomas Boy and get herself someone half decent. It's obviously all gonna end in tears shortly, no doubt about that!
