From whale-boned corsets to dubious-looking ‘chicken fillets’, the world has never exactly been short of ways to boost a woman’s cleavage.

But low-maintenance girls may welcome the return of a very straightforward solution â€" Wonderbra’s Variable Cleavage bra.

The popular product, which was originally launched in 2000, has been reissued for a limited time only.

Big, bigger… biggest! The new adjustable Wonderbra lets you boost your cleavage with the tug of a string

The adjustable bra is designed so that wearers can give themselves enviable curves in just one touch.

It has a cord between the two cups which, when pulled downwards, draws the two sides of the bra together and creates a push-up effect.

The design allows women to stick to a modest cleavage during the day, then create a more glamorous look in the evening.

Rachel Haddon, 24, a 34B model from West London said: ‘There’s a noticeable difference in my cleavage as soon as I pull it tighter.

‘I could wear it all day, although I’d put it on the lowest setting for daytime. Then, when I go for drinks, I’d pull it tight to give my boobs a good boost.’

The bras, which are available in sizes 32A to 38DD, are priced at £32 while the shorts start at  £13.50

The bra, which costs £32, is available in sizes 32A to 38DD.

Despite the prevalence of skinny models on the catwalk, bigger busts are becoming increasingly fashionable.

The trend has been fuelled in part by the success of Mad Men, the American TV show set in the 1960s. Its star, Christina Hendricks, is famous for her curves.

Those wanting to achieve an hourglass shape also have the option of buying matching derriere-sculpting briefs.

Wonderbra - a type of push-up underwire brassiere - first gained worldwide prominence in the 1990s.

Since then the brand has expanded from the single push-up design into a full-range of underwear, making it one of the most popular lingerie labels in the world

Lizzie Singleton, a spokesperson for Debenhams which stocks Wonderbra, said: 'Women are opting for styles with added shapewear are proving to be the most popular.

'Curvier celebrities such as Christina Hendricks are proving to be the new lingerie idols.'

Come on Primark give us one we can actually afford.

If this bra is so great, why is it available "for a limited time only"

Now if they could just come out with a "Wonder Jock Strap"..... - John B. Egan, Grass Valley, CA, USA, 27/6/2012 22:55 Hahaha, thank you John B. Egan - you made me laugh out loud for sure! :)

Now if they could just come out with a "Wonder Jock Strap".....

Its the same freaking photo! If anyone bought one they would be stupid, if you were that desperate to have a bigger cleavage you would buy chicken fillets or something.

These are not new, I used to have one that did the exact same thing. The string broke after a few wears so was a waste of money.

"Variable Cleavage brasserie". Sounds very tasty.

They are similar to their other ones! where you just pulled the string in the middle.

Love the spelling error at the beginning: a variable cleavage brasserie?? Tasty.

when I was 5 my mummy bought me my first bra. I haven't looked back since and I am loving this one. - Blonde and busty 69, Tooting, 27/6/2012 20:29 --WHEN YOU WERE 5???!!!!
