Madonna is probably not a woman who has taken much criticism to heart in her 30-year career.
But could it be, having overstepped the mark with her nipple flash in Istanbul, that she has finally listened and taken heed?
The Material Girl was snapped arriving in Rome yesterday ahead of her concert dressed in a very chic but very demure - for her, anyway - polka dot dress that feel below the knee.

Hand in hand with toyboy boyfriend Brahim Zaibat, the pair were joined by an entourage as they stepped out for dinner in the Italian capital.
Madonna, 53, kept her eyes hidden beneath big dark sunglasses but looked happy and relaxed as they went for a walk around the historic city.
Her sophisticated attire was certainly a far cry from her stage wardrobe which caused outrage this weekend after she decided to strip to her bra and pull back a cup exposing one of her nipples.

And although we are used to the Queen of Pop and her controversial antics and publicity seeking schemes, this time she took it too far for many to stomach.
She caused outrage in Istanbul - and across the internet - this weekend when she purposefully exposed her right breast while performing to an audience of over 55,000 people during a performance of Human Nature at the Turk Telecom Arena in Istanbul.
Caught in the moment of the provocative 1995 hit's lyrics Madonna undressed herself much to the pleasure of her excited fans and as she got into the song she threw her cane to one side and pulled open her shirt displaying a strapped bra top.

She then ripped off the first layer of her bra revealing her lacy lingerie and in a few suggestive tugs she pulled at her bra straps before pulling the entire cup down and exposing her breast.
The Girl Gone Wild singer who last performed in Turkey almost 20 years ago then quickly turned from the audience, unzipped her trousers and stood with her hand in her pants before launching into Like A Virgin.
But it prompted a flurry of fans to take to the internet to criticise her actions and complain that the she is too old to be flashing her flesh in such a way.

One online fan wrote: 'Isn't Madonna a little too old to be flashing nip on stage? With her kids in the background (as they're performing with her on tour?)'
Another added: 'Why is Madonna still showing off her tits? No, it's not sexy to see a woman who could be my grandma whipping her nipple around.'
And even celebrity fans have waded into the debate, with newsman Piers Morgan writing on Twitter: 'Most embarrassing, cringe-worthy, desperate moment in the history of music?'

But some fans have been more sympathetic, like Hollywood actress Christina Applegate, who commented: 'Reading twitter this am and there r all these tweets about Madonna and her nipple flash. And we are shocked because...?
'What I'm saying is. Its not like Sarah Palin had a nip slip, its Madonna.'

And a couple of fans have even pointed out Madonna has gone back on her word from just five months ago.
One wrote: 'Madonna last January: "You don't have to show nipples to be interesting. It doesn't necessarily mean you're cutting edge if you do, right?".
Last week the pop star was pictured covering up in an unflattering ensemble as she visited various historical landmarks in Turkey.

Madonna touched down in Turkey on Tuesday evening alongside her beau Brahim Zaibat, two of her children Rocco and Mercy, alongside an entourage of 200 people.
The pair were spotted looking every inch the happy couple as they walked down the stairs of the aircraft in Istanbul.

Who cares about a nipple....she was 'performing' and regardless of age if she feels the need then do it. She has a huge amount of fans and a huge amount of haters....She will always do whatever she wants and I think thats pretty cool!

@ juju London - as I wrote again and again, saying somebody is with somebodyelse only for money says a lot about the person writing the comment. I don't think, somehow, that Hugh Jackman is with his much older wife for her money. Just one example among thousands. As for Madonna's partner 1) She looks at least 20 years younger 2) The dancer he is can only be in owe of Madonna. As for DM, what's "bonjourno" supposed to mean ? If you can't spell "buongiorno", why don't you stick to "good morning"? The Italians use "Ciao" anyway.

She did it as she craves attention, how sad it looks when you see her with her new toyboy? I have nothing against women dating younger than their age but this just looks really bad. She actually does look his mother, and he would not be with her if she was not famous.

How amazing, all these comments supporting Madonna exposing her nipples, yet if this had been Rihanna who at 24 is thirty years younger than Madonna doing exactly the same thing she would have been crucified for it. At leas the DM is for once is being consistent with their criticism of both Madonna and Rihanna unlike the double standard and sheer hypocrisy of the DM readers.

I've just left a fairly negative comment about her showing her breast..... Now I see the pic's of her in the spotted dress and think she looks Ab Fab. She looks younger dressed like that than she does when desperately craving attention by wearing next to nothing. However, she does look like Zaibat's mother . When will older women realise there are only 2 reasons why the young man is with them ....1) money 2) to make a name for themselves. Oh well, she isn't the first and certainly won't be the last !

You can read a lot of biased articles in DM, but I think the articles concerning Madonna are the worst. But, as we know, thank God, there is not such thing as bad publicity. And the most stupid expressions I can read are : "act your age" or "dress your age". As far as I am concerned, until I die, I will certainly act and dress the way I feel like.
