Angelina Jolie has a career that any rising star would love to emulate, so maybe that explains Malin Akerman's choice of dress.
The Swedish-born star arrived at the Rock of Ages premiere wearing a thigh revealing dress in Hollywood, last night.
It appears the 34-year-old took inspiration from Jolie, 36, who wore a similar frock and famously stuck out her leg at this year's Oscars ceremony.

Malin went one step further than the mother-of-six, and had as slightly higher slit in her dress and also showed more off more skin.

However, despite pushing out her thigh just like Jolie, Malin was slightly out done in the fashion stakes by her co-star Julianne Hough.

The svelte dancer wore a dazzling yellow dress and showed off her wonderfully perky dancer's physique, earned through a lifetime of practice.
Welsh star Catherine Zeta Jones was also dressed to impress and she wore a skin tight sheer dress with black lace.
Other stars of the big budget $80 million musical were also at the screening including leading man Tom Cruise, who wore relaxed attire of jeans and a jacket.

The film, which follows a small town girl and a city boy who meet on the Sunset Strip, while pursuing their Hollywood dreams, sees Malin share a not only a duet but also a kiss with Cruise.
The blonde bombshell spoke to Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb about her close encounter of the 'French' kind with the Top Gun star.
'I think we go beyond French at this point. It's like Martian kind,' Malin said on The Morning Show.
'I mean in this scene I've come into interview him. She's a Rolling Stones reporter who walks in with a lot of integrity and walks out with none, and half of her clothes. It was insane.'

OMG that is NOT Catherine Zeta, the 'imposter' looks horrific not 'superb'. What a ghastly, outfit from shoes to dress that does nothing for the 'imposter'! The real Catherine dresses nothing like this.

Marin has better legs than Jolie by far - Catherine Zeta-Jones looks far from great - botoxed to death with granny knees.

Angelina's pose was far worse! She was purposely sticking her leg out but Malin isn't doing that!

Someone needs to tell CZJ that her Dress is Way too short for a Woman her age - she looks like a fool. Saggy knees at any age are a turn off. And not only is the Dress ugly, it looks like she's trying to act Julianne's age. She should take a page out of the Youngster's book, that Yellow Dress is Amaze-balls.

Nothing against any of them, but all of them look so ugly and botoxy. There is nothing about them that is remotely natural or attractive if you ask me......
