He is just three years away from turning 50 but Roberto Mancini is still in strapping shape.

The Manchester City manager, 47, was seen showing off his impressive, and extremely youthful, body while sunbathing in Sardinia earlier today.

Roberto had his toned abdominal muscles on display and his muscle definition would put many most half his age to shame.

He had a pair of teal shorts slung low just below his hips which highlighted the lack of fat found on his torso.

The former footballer was enjoying a day at the beach with his wife Federica and the pair were both seen cooling themselves off in the sea.

Federica, who was sporting an extremely dark tan, donned a mismatched bikini wearing a bandeau bikini top and a pair of printed bottoms.

It wasn't just Roberto who was flaunting his toned shape, his wife was also looking in fantastic shape.

Like her husband she also has very little fat on her figure and the two-piece highlighted her curves.

As well as making the most of the holiday Roberto appeared to be doing a little work and was seen checking his phone throughout the day.

But with the football season two months away the Italian will no doubt be making the most of the opportunity to relax.

Roberto and Federica have been married for nearly 20 years and have two sons together Filippo and Andrea who have both followed their father into football.

Making the most of the break: The football boss will no doubt be relishing his time off ahead of the new football season starting in August

Hope he eats something in Italy.

Oh no....47...OMGosh hes really old. Geez... what a stupid story.

Phwooooaaaar!!

Who knew there was a body like that under the scarf? Perfect - not too skinny and not too pumped up, just right.

First he took their banner. Next he took their dignity. Then he took their trophy. Forza Mancini.

I thought from the tone of this piece he was going to be 75 or something, not 47!

Oh my his wife's tan is horrible, not to mention premature aging and cancer.

His wife has a fabulous figure but she looks ridiculously over tanned.

Just wow!

Wow! I wonder if any other Premier League managers are hiding a body like this? Sam Allardyce? Martin Jol? Alex Ferguson? Maybe not...
