Rielle Hunter says she is still in love with John Edwards and that they're still together as a couple, even though he lives 140 miles away and sometimes only visits once every two weeks.
The mistress, who destroyed Edwards' family and annihilated his political career, says she and the two-time Democratic presidential candidate are like Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn -- the A-list Hollywood couple who have been together for nearly 30 years but never married.Â
Their relationship together was on full display last weekend when they spent Father's Day together in a beach-side house off North Carolina's southern coast.

Like Kurt and Goldie? Hunter said she and Edwards are happy together without marriage, like the Hollywood A-listers Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, who have been together 30 years without a wedding. Although, the actor couple met after Kurt was already getting a divorce from his wife
'I'm still in love with John. That didn't go away, shockingly enough,' Hunter revealed to People Magazine.
She writes in her book, 'What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter and Me,' that John shares in the parenting responsibilities for Quinn, the four-year-old love child who Edwards denied for two years.
But, she says, they don't live together. She makes her home in a three-bedroom brick house in Charlotte, North Carolina. He lives 140 miles east in Chapel Hill.
Sometimes they go two weeks without seeing each other, she told People. Other times, Edwards visits for five days in a row.
When he's around, they get along well.

'He's kind and funny -- we can make each other laugh no matter how ugly things get,' Hunter, 48, says.
The former North Carolina Senator, 59, empties the dishwasher and cooks for her. He makes excellent pancakes, she says.
Last weekend, they were seen together during a Father's Day vacation to the beach in North Carolina.
The couple rented a beach house and spent the weekend drinking white wine on the balcony and playing in the ocean surf with Quinn.
They were also seen being affectionate in the parking lot as they prepared to walk out to the beach. Edwards is pictured kissing his former mistress on the cheek.
But they're not getting married any time soon.
'I like my space. Not having to deal with the day in, day out. Like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell -- that keeps the home fires going,' she told People.

Russell was in the middle of divorcing his wife when he and Hawn met on the set of the movie 'Swing Shift' in 1983.
Despite the mutual hatred between Hunter and Edwards' late wife Elizabeth, who died after a lengthy battle with breast cancer in 2010, the former mistress says she has a good relationship with the three children Edwards had with his wife.
'Quinn thinks of John's kids as her siblings... But they've been through so much and they have a right to their privacy, so I don't want to talk about them,' she said.

The excerpts of Hunter's book that have been leaked to the public contain intimate details about her sexual relationship with Edwards while he was still married to Elizabeth.
She brags about coming on to Edwards with the line, 'You're so hot,' right after meeting him for the first time at a reception in a New York City hotel. Hours later, they slept together.
However, when People asked about the couple's sex life today, she responded, 'I don't think that's anyone's business.'
She admitted, though, that she still thinks he's 'hot.'

She really should just shut up. If she's trying to bond with his children, slamming their mother is probably not the way. I am sure he is nice to her because he doesn't want to hurt Quinn more than he already has, but I am sure they are not together as in committed, because every two weeks is not a relationship. Maybe he gets some, but he always had other women even when he was married, and that will never change.

As a citizen of North Carolina I feel like apologizing to the whole world for this dreadful couple.Hopefully, now that all the criminal cases are over, they will fade into the woodwork, where they so richly belong. And if they all get along so well, where are his other children?

Seeing them together makes me want to gag. I thought he was smarter than that but obviously he's just as stupid as she is. They're both nasty trash and they'll be nasty trash 10 years from now.

The woman is a woodtick parasite. I feel sorry for the kid, but she's just another mutt and sl*t show. These women are a dime a dozen. She will be surprised when he dumps her, and he will.

Nasty. Goldie and Kurt never comitted adultery. Lisa Jo Druck is from Florida. You can take the trash out of the trailor park, knock the stink off of it, but it is still trash. No mother would go so public in this day of the internet if she was a proper mother. Her poor innocent child, with such bad genes from both parents. Think of the bullying this poor little girl will endure when she gets to school. Just awful. Nasty.

If Elizabeth Edwards was never born these two, would not have been able to steal their current life together. Had it not been for Elizabeth, this woman and man, could not have now profit off her death, enjoy her children and trash her memory. No matter the level of dishonor they attach to Elizabeth Edwards memory. It is because she lived that they are prospering. Thieves.
