At a party celebrating fake tan, it is practically a law of physics that a TOWIE star would turn up.Â

And inevitably, Sam Faiers arrived at the Fake Bake bash held at Selfridges in Manchester last night.

And thanks to her recent trip to Marbella, Sam was sporting an uncharacteristic golden hue instead of the tangerine tan favoured by the cast.

The 21-year-old wore a bright blue wrap dress with a plunging neckline, and black platform heels.

Miss Faiers was killing two birds with one stone, as she was already attending a signing in the department store for her book Living Life The Essex Way.

The reality star told fans on Twitter that she was thrilled that the book had hit the number one spot on the bestsellers list yesterday. 'Wohooooo omg !!!! I'm NUMBER 1 in the official book chart!!!!!!

'Celebrating in the car right now with a tea haha!! Amazing! So happy,' she tweeted.

Another star sporting a natural tan at the Fake Bake party was Jennifer Metcalfe, who also just returned from Marbella.

The Hollyoaks actress was joined by her French boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon at the event, who was also showing off a bronze tan.

The couple were pictured soaking up the sun in the Spanish holiday spot last week, and managed to keep far away from the party-hard antics of the entire TOWIE cast, who were in town en masse to film their summer special.

Jennifer, 28, dressed for the unseasonably cold weather in a beige knit dress over black tights and peep-toe heels.

Her sensible ensemble was in stark contrast to Desperate Scousewives star Chloe Cummings, who turned heads in a tiny red fringed mini dress.
