It's definitely not your usual family set-up.
And as families around the world celebrated Father's Day yesterday, Woody Allen's estranged son Ronan posted a sarcastic message on his Twitter page.
Ronan, 25, tweeted: 'Happy father's day - or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law's day.'

Sarcastic: Woody Allen's son Ronan Farrow tweeted 'happy brother-in-law's day' in reference to his father's relationship with his adopted sister

Controversial: Ronan's message was then retweeted by Allen's ex-wife Mia Farrow
The message was then retweeted by Allen's ex-wife Mia Farrow, who added the word: 'Boom'
Ronan's tweet makes reference to the fact that Allen, 76, is married to Soon-Yi, who was the adopted daughter of Farrow and her second husband Andre Previn.
Speaking previously about the relationship, Ronan, who now works for the Obama administration, has said: 'He's my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law.
'That is such a moral transgression.'

Estranged: Woody and his son Ronan haven't spoken since the early 1990s
Allen was seen giving adopted daughters Bechet and Manzie a hearty hug in Beverly Hills over the weekend.
The 76-year-old movie maker was also accompanied by his 41-year-old wife for the day out.
While Allen seemed in good cheer, Manzie did not seem to be in the best of moods, even though she was visiting one of the city's poshest hotels at the Beverly Wilshire.

Funny how a lot of people (soon, me too!) are getting down voted just for stating the obvious: Move on, lad. We have. Their relationship, while icky, is legal. So nothing here in the public interest. Sorry, you hurt, son. Truly. But best to stop tweeting your pain and deal with it privately.

Staying away from that 'family'...

Whilst Woody Allen had choices, the children who were born / adopted and had none. I don't think the father should have pursued the relationship knowing the consequences it was likely to have. Children don't ask to be born or brought up; if you're going to have them, it means you may have to put your own happiness aside, and if Ronan has a sibling connection with Soon-Yi then it doesn't matter if they are biologically related or not. That's like saying it would be ok for Allen to date his adopted daughters because they aren't blood-related. Family relationships are difficult enough as it is. Allen should have put his family first.

Gives me the creeps so must be very weird for him...........

Perhaps it is Woody who needs to do the 'growing up'.

Well done to Ronan! He's got every right to be upset at his father.

OMG, I never knew Allen and Farrow had a natural child... Things were already very sad but it really makes everything worse. What a weirdo that Woody Allen is...

Bitter much? Get over it. She isn't your biological sister. It's just awkward, nothing more. From what I remember they were consenting adults when the affair took place. Move on, they have!

Can't really blame him. There seems to be a lot of bitterness here, and under the circumstances you can understand why. Some high profile celebrities seem able to behave in such a way that under normal circumstances would attract criticism, but just because some people rate Woody Allen's work highly anything goes. Feel sorry for Mia Farrow and her other children.
