He was her one true love, the tall, dark and handsome business tycoon who swept her off her feet.
But just two years after her portrayed Mr Big for the very last time, Chris Noth is almost unrecognisable as Carrie Bradshaw's love interest.
The actor, 57, was snapped walking round a market in Los Angeles this weekend and looked like a different man to the one that wooed and eventually married Sarah Jessica Parker's beloved character.

His unruly beard was white and grey and he also sported a black moustache and goatee.
His hair was also different colours, white all along the hairline but a light brown with flecks of grey elsewhere.
He sported a little bit of a pot belly as he stopped and sipped his coffee before buying a potted flower.

Noth starred as Mr Big, whose name was later revealed as John Preston, from 1998 to 2008 which included both films.
He currently stars in The Good Wife and has been nominated for a Golden Globe for his role.
He is soon set to narrate a Canadian cable crime series I Didn’t Do It which uses reenactments and interviews with the accused, investigating officers, jurors and prosecuting attorneys to search for the real perpetrator behind a crime.

Why would you expect him or anyone else to look the same as they do on TV or film? They are actors and on set have a whole load of help to look like they do on screen. He's off duty, relaxing, minding his own business, hardly likely to go out in full suit and coiffed for a stroll around a market!

He is obviously not his SITC persona in his real life. I'm sure it would be way too much upkeep for him and besides he probably prefers to be unrecognized.

57-year-old man going grey - shocker! Think he looks great. Is fantastic in The Good Wife. Still attractive and charismatic and no trying to be one of these ridiculous men that tries to pretend he's younger than he actually is.
