The last time a male celebrity caused this much pandemonium by cutting his hair was when Justin Bieber got rid of his trademark swept-across fringe.
However, disgraced X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza began to trend on twitter last night after unveiling his brand new look.
The 19-year-old decided to get a different look altogether after establishing himself with his long greasy messy style.

Celebrity hairstylist Jamie Stevens was the man tasked with giving Frankie his new direction, having worked with him in the past several times.
Jamie said: 'I'm going to be giving @FrankieCocozza a new restyle today. The mop is going. I'll be tweeting live Picts later as it happens. From 530 x'. (sic)
Mr Stevens, who describes himself as 'main hairdresser on X FACTOR This morning,goks fashion fix', gave a step by step picture account of the transformation.

By the time he was finished, Frankie looked almost unrecognisable with his new trim but, he did pay a similar resemblance to Canadian heartthrob Bieber.
The slick new style received mixed reactions on twitter with many of Frankie's followers not knowing what to make of it all.
One user said: 'frankie cocozza cut his hair, oh, that's cool, dunno what I like about it and dislike tbh.'

Many of his loyal fans were overjoyed with it though with one tweeting: 'okay i've been fancing frankie cocozza since i knew about him and now he cut his hair and im here sobbing because he looks so hOT'.
Perhaps the reason for his fresh look is down to the fact that he is reportedly chasing former TOWIE star Amy Childs.
A source told The Sun: 'Frankie is shameless when it comes to women. He loves big breasts, glamour girls and red hair especially. Amy’s his dream woman.'
After meeting the reality TV star last week when filming the pilot of Jonathan Ross’s new ITV show Trending Topics, he apparently become obsessed with her.

A joke and a failure yet the DM gives him a main story with several pics. I don't know what's sadder the fact the DM has given him so much publicity or that we all still look at stories on this loser.

He may be a bit of a 'lad' but there are teenagers out there who do far far worse things. The media over sensationalised his image and his behaviour. He probably will mature....... its part of growing up. After all we were all 'young' once.

I think having short hair highlights the fact that he has a massive head. He could have found a happy medium.
