Indie girl Zooey Deschanel is usually cute and quirky in retro print dresses and girly playsuits.
But the New Girl star turned vamp in a clingy outfit and bright red lipstick as the first celebrity judge of the season on hit show So You Think You Can Dance?
Zooey wore a deep purple dress with a low-cut neckline that emphasised her curves as she posed for the cameras.

The sultry outfit, gathered into folds at the shoulder, was a real departure for the pretty actress, but the vibrant colour suited her flawless skin.
The 32-year-old usually goes for a natural make-up look, but added smokey eyes, lipstick and blusher for her appearance on the 200th episode of the show to complete her sizzling outfit.
She is the first celebrity judge to appear on Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance?, lining up next to a bronzed Cat Deeley and regular faces Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy.
Star of one of the network's other biggest shows, the actress is also a talented singer and dancer.
She sang the theme tune for New Girl and will be making her Broadway debut as Loretta Lynn in a stage adaptation of Coal Miner's Daughter.

Zooey cut a very different figure outside an LA studio last week, in a cloche hat, denim pencil skirt and casual side plait.
Her latest look may have fans wondering if she is finally falling in love with high-octane Hollywood glamour and leaving her unusual sense of style behind.
The (500) Days Of Summer star previously revealed she is not a fan of tottering along on high heels, telling E! News at last year's Emmy Awards: 'I always want to wear flats, but I'm wearing heels. They (her stylists) wouldn't let me.'

Took me a while to get to like new girl, but I love it now. It's the first American comedy in a long time without a laugh track in the background which is a blessing as the awkwardness in the show is brilliant. Plus it helps that she has a type of classic beauty like she stepped out of a Jean-Luc Goddard movie from the 60's.
