It had all started off so well - staying up late in New York with her mother to enjoy pizza and ice cream.
But it all got a bit much for little Suri Cruise when her mother Katie Holmes took the sweet treat off her, perhaps for misbehaving.
The six-year-old was seen throwing a tantrum and becoming tearful as Katie, 33, took the cone off her.

It couldn't have helped that it was past her bedtime - the snaps were taken around 9pm - and the youngster was probably feeling tired.
Katie and Suri headed out together as Tom Cruise continued to work on his latest action movie, Oblivion.
The actress had earlier treated her daughter to pizza in New York City.

The former Dawson's Creek star took Suri for slices of pizza at Pie by the Pound followed by a stop to an ice cream shop for a frozen snack.Â
Katie went for a no-fuss look, her hair tied up atop her head and wearing not a scrap of make-up.

The actress paired a button down shirt with casual denim and platforms, while little Suri looked sweet in a layered white lace dress and pink cardigan.
Katie is back in the Big Apple after spending last week in China, where she was promoting the Artistry on Ice event, for which she is an ambassador.
The actress was reunited with her six-year-old on Friday, and clearly relished spending time with her, treating Suri to chocolate cupcakes on a daytime outing shortly after her arrival.

Suri joined teenage brother Connor and Tom at a dinner to mark the actor receiving the Friars Club’s Entertainment Icon award.
She seemed to be the only child at the event in New York - wearing a pink ballgown and gold high heels.

DM how about back off of Suri Cruise. Sure she has famous parents who are beautiful and talented BUT she’s just a little girl. She didn’t ask for the lifestyle her folks have given her and it seems like they are trying at some level to give her as normal an upbringing as possible so how about helping them? We don’t need to know what she wears or does of has a play date or didn’t eat her veggies. How about backing off and letting her be as normal as we can without telling us all about her. I really don’t know anyone who cares and if you’re paying that much attention to a little girl, it’s a little creepy.

Isn't that just normal behaviour from a young child who's had its ice cream taken away. Good. I'm glad she's still got normal traits, and isn't the sophisticant we all think she is. Viva la childhood!

A message to all those busybodies who want to tell other parents what their child should be allowed to do and what not. Go, have your own children and practice your ideas there. And come to think of it: what business had the photographer anyway taking and publishing photos of a minor?

WHY IS THE CHILD OUT AT 9PM at night? What is wrong with these two parents? This poor little girl has no structure in her life! She is having her regularly scheduled tantrum! Comes with the territory of having everything she wants when she wants and she better get it or she creates scenes like this. Allowed to dress the way she wants, eat what she wants, sleeps when she wants...and enough already carrying this child around! How about giving her a proper diet of food, some friends her age and a life for a child including a proper bed time. STRUCTURE PEOPLE! Tom and Kate need to grow up themselves, this little girl isn't a doll but a real child that needs to be treated like one, not a mini adult girlfriend. This is a sad situation with more problems to come!
