It was revealed this week that the Kill Bill star's baby shower took place on May 31.
Her sister Taya Thurman hosted the intimate party for 25 at her New York apartment, with actress Debra Messing in attendance.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: 'Taya threw a wonderful, sweet party - it was exactly what you'd hope your baby shower would be.

Excitement: Uma is expecting a baby sister for her two children Maya and Levon
'It was a baby pink elephant theme, so everything was around that. They had little pink elephant cookies for everybody to take home.'
Uma, who is believed to be eight months pregnant, confirmed she was expecting a baby exclusively to the MailOnline in February.
The actress and French financier Arpad Busson started dating in 2007, before announcing their engagement the following year.
However after splitting in 2009, they were back together last year.

Speaking about her lovelife, Uma said earlier this year: 'I have something I would really like to express about my love life.
'Iâm happier with it now than Iâve been in many, many years. Yes Iâm trying to have as peaceful a personal life as possible.'
Her new baby will have four half brothers and sisters.
Uma has a daughter Maya, 13; and son Levon, 10; with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, while Arpad is father to sons Flynn, 14; and Aurelius, nine; with ex-fiancée Elle Macpherson.

JESS, Bath, 20/6/2012 12:03...you haven't offended anyone Jess, and yes, I'm 42 and would hate the thought of more babies now (like my sleep too much)....just saying that in the case of my 44 year old friend (unplanned baby) she can't imagine life without her 3 year old now, they have a great time together playing going out for days out etc - oh, and her grown up children are great at helping too! :-)

Ooops......what I meant to say to @Jess,Bath....Women are fitter and taking better care or themselves and having a baby at 44 now a days is not that uncommon or a problem. It is true......40 really is the new 30 and so forth. We who care for ourselves are living much longer. I had my last baby at 46 ( all be it somewhat unexpected ..in total now I have 8). And to be honest it has been more fun than not. Now at 59.....I almost wish I could have another. And actually.....sometimes it is easier for the older more experienced................It has to do with how much love you can give.......

Sorry ladies - didn't mean to offend any of you. It's just being that age with a toddler would be my idea of a nightmare, but hats off to everyone out there who is/has done and loves it. Each to their own, I'm not saying I'm right - it was just an observation.

- JESS, Bath, 20/6/2012 08:58 My Mum was 44 when she had me and I have travelled the world with her, living in some very under-developed nations, no nannies, no entourage, no available

Some of her tops of late have looked awful - but I think she looks lovely in this outfit.....JESS, as for your comment, I think alot of it depends on your attitude personality. My friend (who had grown up children) discovered she was pregnant at 44. Her daughter is now 3 - my friend is young at heart loads of fun, she has really enjoyed having her daughter....

Flying at 8 months? Thought that wasn't allowed.

When she's 44/45, she will have a 3 year old. Good luck with that....! I suppose it's different when you can have nannies/night nurses etc and why not, she's earned the money.
