No laughing matter: Michael McIntyre, seen here leaving the TV Baftas last weekend, said no one laughs at his jokes about The Voice any more
He's a comedian who can sell-out huge arenas and always manages to raise a laugh with his audience.
Except, it would seem, when Michael McIntyre tells them jokes about The Voice, which fail to guarantee even a titter from his fans.
And he believes the reason for this is that no one cares about the BBC talent show anymore.
Speaking on the eve of the show's big final, McIntyre said his jokes fall flat with his audiences because they have no interest in the show.
Speaking on Alan Carr's Chatty Man tonight, he explained: 'I had a load of jokes about The Voice when it started. I was quite excited about those jokes, but nobody cares about them now.
'I say to my audiences, "Are you watching The Voice?" They are like, "No". They don't laugh at the jokes.'
He said when the show first started, his jokes about the blind auditions went down a storm and said: 'My Voice jokes were about the beginning when they had the twisting chairs - that was fun. They had their backs to them and if they liked them they would press their button and turn round.
'Once in a while you could sense that the person was so unattractive they were never going to have a career, which is why I thought there should be an emergency button so they can turn back round.
'But that joke stopped working because people aren't interested.'
The show has fallen form grace since it began especially regarding ratings, which have plummeted each week as people turn off in their droves.
McIntyre's host Alan Carr poked fun and said there was one way they could revive viewing figures again.

Not funny: McIntyre said his jokes about The Voice's blind auditions raised laughs but 'nobody cares anymore'
He said: 'This weekend is the series final and if they want to get those viewers back, they'll have to think outside the box and persuade Holly Willoughby's breasts to sing a duet. Now that would be worth tuning in for.
'The Voice has even been beaten by Planet Earth Live. So perhaps for series two the BBC should combine the two and just film badgers having sex in revolving chairs. I'd watch.
'I've heard of singers miming to protect their voices but not their whole bloody career, for God's sake.'

Or perhaps it's because his jokes just aren't very good.....

We are all just tired of singing contests... nothing deeper than that really.

Erm...so says the man who helped send BGT ratings plummeting!

Yeah, just like your stint as a judge on BGT was good right?
