The UK will take delivery of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner today, a so-called 'green' aircraft which boasts revolutionary jetlag-busting technology.
Bosses of three major UK airlines will be taking delivery of the ultra-modern planes in the next few months and will be making their way to Heathrow today to inspect the finished product.
The fuel-efficient planes will feature LED lighting and bigger windows, as well as wider aisles and higher ceilings.

The cleaner air will mean there is less chance of dehydration and the flight in general will be smoother and quieter, additions which will help reduce jetlag, the aircraft manufacturer claims.
According to Boeing, the jet can fly 52 per cent further, burning 20 per cent less fuel and saving more than 30 per cent on annual maintenance costs than existing aluminium machines.
Thomson Airways, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic will be the first airlines to use the new planes on their routes and will be inspecting the first Dreamliner today.
Seattle-based Boeing is showing off its new plane as part of a world tour to promote the Dreamliner which, after numerous production problems, finally entered passenger service last October.
Designed to carry up to 290 passengers and far more fuel-efficient than existing aircraft, the Dreamliner should have started fare-paying flights as early as May 2008.
But it was not until autumn 2011 that Japanese airline ANA became the first to put the 787 into service.

Thomson will take the first of its Dreamliners next year, with British Airways, which has ordered 24 of the 787s, also having its first delivery in 2013.
Virgin has ordered 16 Dreamliners, with the first due to be delivered in 2014.
Boeing will also be showing off the Dreamliner at Manchester and Gatwick airports this week.
Garry Wilson, purchasing and product chief for Thomson Airways, said: 'We know that this addition to our fleet will set us apart from our competition and weâll be able to give our customers the best possible start to their holidays.'
