One of the mostly hotly anticipated mobile phones this year could  finally be unveiled to the public today.

A Samsung website entitled 'tgeltaayehxt' - an anagram of 'the Next Galaxy' offered a countdown - although the site is overwhelmed with such demand it's difficult to access.

But solving the word puzzle seems only to unlock a further preview - for an even on May 3 in London, where details of the iconic Android will presumably be released.

Samsung recently surpassed Nokia to become the world's biggest phone company.

Bloggers and other tech fans have already 'leaked' details of the new handset - including a video purported to be of a finished model.

The Samsung Galaxy S3, expected to rival the iPhone when it goes on sale next month, has appeared online in a Vietnamese video posted on YouTube.

The gadget appears to have  a 4.6-inch display and a 720p display, with the handset being powered by a 1.4Ghz quad core processor.

The leak comes via well-regarded Vietnamese site Tinhte, which previously revealed the Samsung Galaxy Tab and parts from the new iPad. It reveals footage of the new device for the first time

It is also expected to boast an 8 megapixel camera, 16Gb of storage and NFC technology allowing it to double as a credit card.

Its 720 x1184 4.6-inch screen is expected to have a slightly lower resolution than the iPhone 4S, but on a bigger 4.6inch screen compared to the iPhone’s 3.5inch.

16GB of storage plus a microSD card slot are also mentioned, along with a 2,050mAh battery.

The mystery phone has the model number GT-i9300, expected to be the model number for the Galaxy S3.

The handset is also running Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Google’s Android software.

However, experts warn that the final phone may look radically different - the leaked video is believed to have a ‘fake’ case to guard against leaks ahead of the expected May 3rd launch.

The problem I have is Sumsumg products are not reliable. We have a printer from day 1 works intermittently , gone back to the manufacture can't fix it. Led tv had to have the whole front replaced $1500 under warranty. My other tv used very little, after 13 mouth $500 repair. This weekend my wife's Galaxy went blank. 9 months old under warranty. My son who is 18 , has a mac computer , 6 years old works perfect. He also has a ipad , bought it when they first came out,no problems., works great. I know I will not be buying any Sumsung products again, They look nice but in my experience not reliable !

I've had android and now I have (finally) an Iphone and nothing beats...an Iphone! Android can't even begin to compare to the quality and expertise of the Apple operating system. Period. Seriously, Android phones are complete rubbish, poorly designed and inferior quality products that don't stand the test of time (i.e. six month's worth of use and I had to change the Android phone FOUR times because it was such a piece of c***!

The One X wipes the floor with the competion.. the screen is phenomenal, ICS is awesome and the camera is gorgeous. Battery life is actually better than the Desire HD, as long as you don't leave wifi/apps running all day.

Samsung phones are the most powerpacked phones on the market. They are like super computers; But... they look like BRICKS. I don't care if there's a quantum processor and 300 million gigs of RAM inside, it also has to look good! HTC look the best, especially the One X (poor battery)! iPhones are OKish looking if you don't mind looking like everyone else!

those of you who are fans of apple products, just because you want to belong to this brand, since you are pretty lousy yourself. not because they are the best products out there. apple rips every one of their users off!

So many people fighting over what phones are best get a life you fools, you dont own the company, or have shares, they make billions of pounds and make people in China work like slaves. Grow up the lot of you!

Here come the iphone fanboys, the iphone uses 25% samsung parts, retina is made my samsung but samsung doesn't use it. Without samsung apple would have to go elsewhere for their chips etc, apple need samsung!, whos the daddy then?. So all the samsung haters your technically using a samsung duh. Can't wait to see the s3!.

The phone can be as good as it likes, but the apps on Android Market Place are rubbish! Long live the iPhone !

I'll keep my iPhone, thank you

The anagram and the term to search for is actually "tgeltaayehxnx".... I've noticed more and more errors in your proof reading DM, but messing up an anagram is just taking the P.... I'm surprised your goons didn't respell it 'teletext'
