She's only been back on the market for four months since her marriage to Russell Brand fell through.
But rather than still nursing the pain of a broken heart, Katy Perry has fallen head over heels for her new boyfriend and shown she's well and truly over the comedian.
The I Kissed A girl singer looked smitten as she passionately kissed new love Robert Ackroyd, guitarist of Florence + the Machine, at Coachella Festival over the weekend.

Last night the pop star couldn't keep her hands off the tattooed musician as they cuddled and kissed while taking in the music at the event.
Katy looked care free and besotted as she jumped on Brit Ackroyd and wrapped her arms around his neck.
And her smile said it all as she beamed while he put his arms around her while she rested her head on his chest.

Perry, 27, looked cute in her purple high-waisted shorts with a matching sheer blouse which showed off her midriff.
She wore a pair of leather sandals on her feet, while her long purple hair matched the ensemble perfectly as she showed how to dress for a summer festival.
The pair already look like a solid couple as they walked along holding hands and didn't take their hands off each other.

The smile says it all! She split from Russell Brand at the end of December and their divorce is scheduled to be finalised in July

Putting it behind her: She was briefly linked to French model Baptiste Giabiconi but she's now found love with Ackroyd
And they didn't care who could see their embraces as they locked lips in the middle of the crowds.
Robert, who is believed to be in his late twenties, played the supportive boyfriend as he protectively placed his arm around her throughout the evening while dressed in a casual get-up of a white T-shirt and jeans.
The pair were first spotted holding hands in the crowd as Katy's BFF Rihanna performed with Calvin Harris last Sunday.

Shortly after, Robert started following the singer on Twitter and it appears they've now fallen for each other.
Katy announced her split from Russell Brand at the end of December after 14 months of marriage and their divorce is scheduled to come through in July.
She has since been linked to French model Baptiste Giabiconi after the pair posted pictures up of themselves on Twitter but has now moved on with Robert.
While Perry has been enjoying a desert romance with her new man, her ex-husband has moved on with Hungarian model Nikolett Barabas.

I'm so so so happy to see that smile back on her face, I'm a huge fan and I've missed that smile! Who cares if they've only been divorce for 4 months? Russell moved on faster so don't blame her... also people complaining that she was too busy for Russell.. she was at the peak of her career, she's not going to just throw it all away after everything she went through to get where she is now! He's hot and I'm dead chuffed for her :-D Oh yeah, and that girl following her is her best friend Shannon. :-)

May have been only 4 months but everyone moves on at different speeds, she's entitled to have a new relationship after 4 months if she's ready for it. She certainly looks happy anyway! We don't know how they felt/feel so we can't really make a judgement at their rate of moving on. At least they're not laying around being miserable

Noone cares if she has moved on, Russell has and good for him, she was never serious about their marriage although he clearly was. She is an immature little girl who doesn't know what she wants. Russell Brand was TOO good for her and he will be better off without her long term although the poor guy seems to be suffering at the moment, hope he meets someone who wants a settled life and family one day.

I don't understand why people are on her back for moving on. Russel moved on MONTHS ago, why should she stay miserable? It would be pointless for her to sulk over it. The relationship is over, why not get ovet it? Being depressed for four months is long enough! It's good she's happy and has found a new guy. He seems to really like her and vice versa. He's hot! Anyway, I love this look on her, she looks really gorgeous.

I don't know why she married Russell. She never took her marriage seriously and was always away. Yes she is entitled to her career but why marry when she knew she couldn't commit? I feel sorry for Russell in the whole thing, I believe that she really hurt him. She says she hates fame but seems to me that she chases it relentlessly and that she behaves like a teen when she is 27 and should be more mature. Showing off and partying seems to be all she wants to do and she was never ready to marry. She will never sustain a relationship until she grows up. - Sue, London, 23/4/2012 --- Sorry, but how can you say she didn't take it seriously? You didn't know how she felt the whole time and how she felt after. She had her tour planned for months before the marriage and Russell would have known this, so really, he was the one getting himself into it and should have known that they wouldn't be together very much for the next year or so. She cannot just cancel a y ear long tour because of it.
