She's swung from a chandelier in Moulin Rouge! and parades in next-to-nothing in The Paperboy.
But Nicole Kidman has traded her A-list chic for dowdy dress in new film The Railway Man.
The Oscar-winner was seen in at Perth station, Scotland, shooting scenes in 1940s attire - including a green coat, pink neckerchief and brown pleated skirt - while sporting a dull bobbed wig.

Nicole was on set with co-star Colin Firth, who was also dressed in his wartime replica wardrobe.
The bespectacled Bridget Jones actor was seen in a brown overcoat, matching cords and cardigan.
True tale: The film follows the story of soldier Eric Lomax, who survived Japan's infamous Burma Railway
From Mr Darcy to Mr dowdy: Colin dressed down in cardigan and cords
The film, set during World War II, follows the true tale of British officer Eric Lomax (played by actor Jeremy Irvine) who is captured by the Japanese in Singapore and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
Lomax is then forced to work on the Thai-Burma Railway, during which time he is tortured.

Traditional dress: Extras wore skirts and jackets, complete with replica shoes and gloves from the 1940s era
Jeremy plays the young Lomax, while Colin steps in to fill the shoes of his older persona years later.
It is then that wife Patti (Nicole Kidman) encourages him to confront one of his captors after suffering from psychological trauma of the aftermath.
